Mediaseruni.co.id, JAKARTA – Panji Gumilang, the leader of Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes), was interrogated by the Indonesian National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) on Monday, July 3, 2023. Panji Gumilang underwent an 8-hour interrogation, which concluded at 10:28 PM local time. He was being questioned in relation to allegations of blasphemy.
“The interrogation has just concluded,” stated Brigadier General Djuhandani, the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, on Monday night, July 3, 2023.
As of nearly 11:00 PM local time, Panji Gumilang was still at Bareskrim Polri. Djuhandani mentioned that Panji was still present at Bareskrim Polri, reviewing the results of the interrogation.
When asked about Panji Gumilang’s status, Djuhandani stated that they were still conducting an investigation. He mentioned that Panji Gumilang was invited today for clarification purposes.
“It’s still under investigation, invited for clarification. It’s still in the investigation phase,” he said.
